And they work as a True ID if flying domestically.

Also coming soon is facial recognition instead of scanning your passport and doing the fingerprints. It's already available in Houston, Miami and JFK. Hopefully Aruba won't be far behind.

I recently came back from a cruise and they used facial recognition for disembarkation which was very fast and smooth.

We got our global entry cards in August and used them for the first time coming home from Grand Cayman. Let me tell you, IT WAS AWESOME TO HAVE!

We flew through Ft Lauderdale. When we arrived in FLL, we grabbed our suitcases and instead of the long line we went right up to the machine that took a picture and spit out a paper with our info. Wow, that was crazy. However, we bypassed all the people waiting for the non global entry machines.

Then, we bypassed everyone waiting for a border agent to ask us the normal questions.

We were off the plane and and through customs in less than 15 minutes.

Too bad our next flight was delayed and we sat around for 5 hours.

they use facial recognition in aruba, too. just look in the camera, press the button and the receipt comes out. no questions, no fingerprints, nothing. takes like 2 seconds
