I know you have a heck of a time getting to Aruba, so I hope it works out for the best for you!

Hi Walt!! Yeah I do have a heck of a time getting to and from Aruba, my last trip although longer in distance by way of Panama still saw me arriving into Aruba by 12:28 pm. The earliest I have ever arrived on the island. I am happy with Copa and may very well use them on further trips. For a while it looked as though Insel was on its way back, but then came this:

So it looks like it is definately going to be connecting through Panama for me. Unless Caribbean Airlines decides to re-commence their service to the ABC islands.

I am very interested to see how the airline market responds to the new ferry service that is going to start operating by next year. I can't imagine them surviving when even without a ferry service they all seem to go under after time.

Well, just like Dutch Antilles Express (DAE), and Tiara Air; Insel has received the chop.

For those that have to connect through Curacao their options will be between Winair and Divi Air. Sorry to see Insel go out like this, it was through this airline that I was first introduced to Aruba on a Sunday night back in August of 2010. Hopefully this could be an opportunity for other airlines in the region to commence operations among the ABC islands....(Caribbean Air Lines I'm talking about you, LIAT...Not so much). Guess we will have to see what happens.

Yeah, if the ferry is a big success, I don't see how any commercial airline can operate with such a small market. Maybe one airline is all the small market can take. Its company after company that has gone bankrupt trying to fly the ABC island route.
