Ok so yesterday I received an email from Jetblue with a change in my itinerary for May 3rd. I was on a NS flight from FLL to Aruba. Now I’m leaving FLL at 8:37 at night and going to JFK. Overnight and then fly out from JFK to Aruba! Coming home it’s Aruba to Boston then FLL. There’s no way that’s acceptable. If I cancel the tickets, will they refund me or put in a travel bank?

I don’t foresee Aruba being ready for travel by early May, and I’m ok with that. They’re not going to start letting US countries fly in when we don’t have this under control here in the US. When I’m hacked Jetblue schedule, it looks like they’re starting that Non stop fromFLL in I’d June. I’m thinking if they out the money in the travel bank, just rescheduling for mid to late June. If tickets are cheaper, does the balance stay in the travel bank for x amount of time?? Then of course, I have to get accommodations. Any advice??????

Finally bit the bullet yesterday and changed our trip from late April to early November. Sad but necessary. Jet Blue had already cancelled out outgoing flight but still has our flight home May 7th on the books. Don't know how that works but ok? Have tried to call them a few times but wait times are crazy. Can't rebook flights yet as November schedules aren't out yet. Very sad that we can't go and hopefully we will be able to go in November. This whole thing is very scary. Hunker down everyone and stay safe.

I've been worried the last couple days about our Thanksgiving trip. I know no one can answer what will happen, and I really should stop reading and speculating. I will be heartbroken if we can't spend our 10th anniversary in Aruba, but only time will tell and of course health and safety is the priority - that really goes without saying.
I've booked our timeshare and one way flights to get there and have decided to wait a while on booking our flights home. I think schedule changes will be inevitable.

Jet blue changed our return flight that was scheduled for 5/17 to 5/18. I had success using the chat feature on their website. I had used a combo of points and cash, the agent first offered me travel bank credit. I replied that I was entitled to a refund since they canceled half of my itinerary. She agreed and issued full refund of the points and cash portion back to my credit card.

As as of now our Delta flight to AUA on 5/2 has not been canceled. Realistically I know it’s not happening, but I’m waiting til the last possible minute to cancel it, and hotel reservations.

Sadly its only a matter of when and no if....as they would say please reschedule and don't cancel.

Delta - looks like the earliest they are now flying to Aruba will be June. We were originally booked for late April/early May but I rebooked our flights, hotel and car rental for the first 2 weeks in Nov. with no problems a couple of weeks ago. Delta, Amsterdam Manor, and Tropic made the date changes easy.

They are also extending our Delta Medallion status through 2021 since there is no way Medallion members would be able to meet the status thresholds this year with limited flights everywhere. Also, the free companion tickets we receive every year with Delta will now have a late 2021 expiration date. I appreciate that Delta is taking care of things that I had not even thought about yet.

Obviously my trip for March 22 - April 2nd was cancelled, but without much financial damage to any of us. As you may know, I go with a big group of people who timeshare weeks 12 and 13 at Divi Village and we are friendly with most people at the pool.

This week, a group of us with about 10 rooms were able to book weeks 41 and 42 in October. Hopefully restrictions will be lightened up by then and we will be able to go. If not, according to the messages sent to us by Divi, we should be able to switch weeks again. And if we lose out, we lose out, we would have spent more gambling at the casinos

After my trip was cancelled and with everyone else going on, I haven't checked on the forum in a few weeks. But re-booking has given me hope that I'll be returning to our beloved island soon. I hope everyone on the forum is healthy and staying safe!

I had already booked our flight to Aruba for Nov 8 but not the flight back. I just booked yesterday our flight back on Dec 15. I have full confidence we will be able to go.
