    HGTV-Today

HGTV had an episode on today at 3:30. We had not seen it before but it said it originally aired in April. It was about a couple from Texas who decided to move to Aruba with two girls. Budget of $300,000 tops and hoped to get their own pool. They saw a 2 bedroom house in that development of cunucu houses out Aruba Cunucu Village(Calbas), two condos at Gold Coast and one at the Pearl. Right before they made their decision we got an emergency weather alert on the tv, but just caught the end to find out they purchased the cunucu house for $132(?),0000. It was a tiny house with one bathroom but really cute from the outside. The monthly fees were only $50.00.

We watched it a month or so ago. Always fun to see familiar places on the show.

We watched it today. I was thinking of you guys when they mentioned the Pearl. That little house they chose was under 800 square feet! I guess you do spend more time outside though. I liked the setup at Pearl.

so for maybe another $132K they can expand and renovate to make it less tiny and more livable for the 4 of them?

Maybe! It sounded like they just liked the charm of it, as well as, all the colorful homes in the neighborhood. Wish they would do follow ups a year later.

I thought about schexe too! When we were looking we saw a similar unit at Gold Coast. The house that they bought is about half the size of our condo. 800 sq feet for 4 people sounds so tight, even if you spend a lot of time outside you still need to put your stuff somewhere especially if you are living and not vacationing there, but everyone's needs are different.

It is a charming neighborhood. We’ve driven through it a number of times. Some of the homes are much larger, but they’re all right on top of each other.
