Resident taxes for US citizen

There computer systems are not from the 1990s...they know how often you come and how long you stay. I agree that staying over 180 days is not very cost effective.

As far as staying more than 180 days, we were told by someone from the Netherlands that they can stay 180 days, go somewhere for a day or two and come back but that is for the Dutch citizens, not US citizens. I believe for us it is 180 days per calendar year.
