What type of permit did you get for Aruba? Are work permits an option or are they still not giving any?

Bon dia All,
if some of you know us ,you know that moving here to Aruba has been a loooooong journey for us !We have been patient and in the end all I can say is that a cold Chill , a walk on the beach and all of our pets here with us surrounding us at the dinner table erased all the frustration we built during these 2 long years while waiting to get here in Paradise!During all this time I have learned a great deal of things . I am glad to share my experience with anyone either in writing or face to face over a beer or some nice wine!
We are hot and happy!!We'll take 2 weeks to put things in order and after that we're ready for action!!I can sell,rent or buy properties for you and my husband can build,fix and maintain them for you!We have a lot to bring to the table

Thank you all! and I am not retiring or a homeowner there. I am only 15 years old and I plan to move there after I finish senior year in 3 years. I just love everything about it and I hope to move there! It seems great! I've researched everything about it, and I've already started planning!

immigration laws and residency are quite strict.

you may need a sponsor, will need a sizable bank account, will have to put up $X dollars to be held for your deportation (i am not kidding) you will have to provide proof of income, will have to pass a physical exam as well as numerous other hoops to jump thru.

winning the lottery and being adopted by an aruba couple would be the best start

seriously though, reach out to some Expats here.
there are numerous people from usa/canada that are now full time aruba residents.

hopefully they will see your posting and will reply.

when the divi golf course was being constucted my son who was about 16 or 17 at the time (now age 32) was hired by the golf course contractor to work there duing the summer with construction of the golf course. the abusive and evil parents (my husband and I) said no.
