I am visiting Aruba for the 3rd time this summer. Curious about opthamologists on the island. Had detached retina
4 years ago and while things are good now, in case I had issues and needed a doctor to see quickly, what are my
options down here??

THINK.. is it Thoughtful? Helpful? Inspirational? Necessary? Kind? sidtm
I am told that there is an optho who moved here about 18months ago and has established a clinic just before San Nicolaas. Don't have the name. Will see if I can dig it up
As you know all too well, a detachment is very complicated and potentially disastrous. An ophthalmologist isn't necessarily a retina specialist and, if not, likely won't have the sophisticated equipment necessary to help. If I were you, I would check with your own ophthalmologist regarding whether you are at high risk as well as for a recommendation as to how you should deal with it if symptoms arise as you travel.
best of luck.

I suggest you make contact with the Dr whose details are below and discuss your situation before travelling

Your own doctor might be able to recommend one for you.
