We have decided we would like to invest in the storage route this year. While we don't mind giving away items we buy for the beach etc... it would be nice to leave some towels and snorkel gear behind.
We own at Casa Del Mar. Is there anywhere close to there?
I use Timeshare Storage. You can contact Joanne and Lou Bruno at timesharestorage@aol.com. Below is their infrom from last year. Their prices have changed, so contact them for their new info. When I spoke to them a few months ago, Lou suggested new customers bring a bin down with them to Aruba as his supplier has raised the prices for the bins.
Items are stored in plastic 30 Gal Rubbermaid type containers. Cost for the container is $41.24 (one time cost).
Storage for the year is $67.02 US. These prices include the new Aruba BBO (Sales) Tax implemented on January 1, 2007.
There is a 50 lb weight limit. The overweight charge is $25 extra for 51 - 75 lbs. And an additional $25 extra for 76 - 100 lbs. But we would really appreciate keeping the weight below 50 lbs.
Everything has to be stored in the Container. No Bags, Boxes, Chairs, etc, can be left outside the container. If any of these items are not in a container when we pick them up, we will not be able to take them.
Containers for purchase may vary in size, material and price, as our reordering of depleted stock takes place. Approximate outside dimensions of the present containers in stock are 32"L x 19 1/2"W x 17" H.
Our fee includes one pick up and drop off to your Resort per year. Additional deliveries/pick ups during that year are $20 US dollars Round Trip.
We are a small company, and not large enough to accept credit cards. Because the bank charges a very high fee for cashing Foreign Checks, we can only accept cash.

We also own at CasaDelMar and use Timeshare Storage. If you use them, Lou will deliver your bins when you arrive on the island and pick them up when you leave. You don't have to wrry abput taking yor things anywhere. We have been using them since they began their business and couldnt be any happier. Their rates are very reasonable.

it is so convenient to leave stuff there
for example this is what i bring in my carry on
toiletry bag
underwear
ipod and charger
a few items that friends have request that i bring
my pillow
coffee
filters
splenda
laptop and cords
my husband's bag has similar items (minus bras)
and he brings dvds to play on his dvd player that we leave in the box down there

- his 2 bathing suits
- his/mine snorkel gear
- mine 1 short set
- mine 1 skort
- mine 1 cotton shirt dress
- mine 2 bathing suits
- mine 2 cover ups
- mine 3 tees
- mine 3 tanks
- mine 2 pr shorts
- mine birkenstocks
- pjs him
- nightgown me
- him tevas
- mine crocs
- couple packs of smit and dorlas coffee
- shampoo
- sunblock and various lotions
- peanut butter
- body powder
- casino cards and bungees
- plastic bags, zip lock bags
- power strip
- paper towels
my printed list is more complete
our stuff has never gone over 47 lbs
we are not high maintenance
we share shampoo
we both use the same lotions and sunblock and body powder
i occasionnaly steal a clean handkerchief or 2 from him.
i do LAUNDRY at least 2x during a 2 week stay.

Do you have to have a timeshare or can anyone use them?
I would love to store stuff that would lighten the load with one boy and another on the way it would be nice to have some stuff there so we wont have to lug it all the way to Aruba.
