Please try to keep the weight of your container at 50lbs or less, to avoid the overweight charge. Below is a reminder of the Overweight Charges.
The overweight charge is $25 extra for 51-75 lbs. And an additional $25 extra for 76-100 lbs.




Also, everything has to be stored in the Container. No Bags, Boxes, etc, can be left outside the container. If any of these items are not in a container when we pick them up, we will not be able to take them. It is possible to store beach chairs and/or golf clubs under certain condition's.Beach chairs would have to fit in the space of the Storage Shelf, which is 17”H x 19 1/2”W x 30”L. Please ask for further information if you are interested.
Please be advised that some customer’s have experienced leakage with liquids in plastic containers. (Example: Laundry Detergent, Shampoo, etc). Please make sure any liquids are stored in SEALED plastic bags, so that in case of any leakage it will be contained to that plastic bag. Please do not store any chemicals (Such as Bleach etc.)


Please, make sure EVERYTHING is DRY! We have found that the following items can create a SMELL in your container, even though they are dry: Snorkeling Equipment (Especially Flippers), sandals and shoes.

Hmmm, that doesn't sound too appealing. Why does everything leak? How is it treated? Okay, back to option 1: I'll drag the important stuff and buy the rest when I get there. Thanks, Patty for the info. I'm going to try to Google them and see what I get.

And in addition to FattyPattys post, Lou and Joanne of timesharestorage.com are the best people to deal with ever. The bucket you store your "stuff" in is huge. Been using this service for several years now and it is a blessing. The trick is to store clothes in heavy duty dark trash bags with an opened box of dryer sheets in each bag. If you leave behind a cooler, you can fill it with "stuff" like, coffee filters, salt and pepper, sun tan lotions,(each in it's own zip lock bag), etc. I leave behind clean clothes and swimsuits I didn't wear also.
I find this service very reasonable and I can get away with only a carry-on when I go.

I have been using timeshare storage for years, actually since their first year of operation and now have 2 bins!

We have never had a problem with odors in the bin. We leave our rafts, noodles, extra flip flops, a large cooler and foil, plastic wrap, salt/pepper, coffee, etc. Stuff that doesn't go bad but you will need from year to year. I think the issue is that the bins are stored in an outside storage facility and with the heat perhaps some of the items may leak. However, we have not had an issue. Sunscreen and items like that we do place in ziploc bags.

We stay at the SC, the bins are delivered on the day of arrival and placed in the luggage storage room. When we arrive we ask for the bins and they are delivered to our room-very easy! Lou comes to pick them up on the day of departure. Fantastic service and fantastic business.

Randi, I also have never had an issue with anything leaking, but I am very careful how I pack them. I was wondering what exactly do you mean by "an outside storage facility"? I have always been under the impression that our storage buckets are stored securely in a building with locks on the doors. I know recently they had to purchase another building that is even bigger than the original one as business has grown so much.

Sorry, I think what I wrote was misleading. By outside storage I meant it is a storage building not a home. I would assume that for storage it wouldn't be air conditioned so the storage facility would get hot.

lou and joanne the owners of "aruba timeshare storage" tell us it is in climate controlled.
does that mean temperature?
they have an "out building" where the stuff is stored..........they have a walled and gated property and the "out building " is locked.

it is also my understanding that they also have a larger storage place that they rent for larger items or overflow. again, locked and secured.

unsure if it is airco in there ??

That's ok, I thought that was what you meant, but did not want to assume such!! Thanks for clarifying. And I think you are right, buildings are not air/conditioned. But I have never had any problem, even the year I mistakenly put in 2 soy candles!!! They were fine. The only advise I can think of to give is for people to check dates on suntan lotion/oil products, they do have an expiration date and should not be used after the dates shown. I heard that on the Dr. Oz Show awhile ago.

People say they store their sunscreen- which has an expiration date- so why would you do that?
