Cost of beer in Aruba Markets

I quoted on another page that I wish I could bring an 18 Pack of Coors Lite from home because it is only (on sale today) $10.99! It is so expensive in Aruba Markets. This brings to something I was told by a few locals last year. I like Balashi beer in Aruba and these locals said they would not drink it if it were free, they hate it!
What do you feel about the Balishi (s?) beer?

I drink Sam Adams when it's available. Don't care for light beers. I tried Balashi once and didn't care for it at all. Sadly, I've only found Sam Adams in Aruba one year. So now I just order/buy Budweiser.

I don't care for Balashi. I really like Amstel Brights, even though I'm not really a corona drinker. Our go to beer is Bud Light. Earlier this year the week after Carnival, Superfoods was out of Bud Light so we had Coors Light instead. American beers are pretty expensive, but definitely cheaper in the grocery stores than convenience markets in the high rise area.

As for bringing the 18 pack from home, you may have to pay a duty on part of it, unless you have 3 adults. I believe the limit to bring in is 2 liters, which would work out to about 6-12oz beers per person. (please someone correct me if I'm wrong on this)

We've Balashi to be the least expensive on the island. We drink it all of the time.

We only like Balashi on tap (very few places have it on tap though) Don't like the taste of Balashi when it's in bottles or cans so we never buy it. We always drink Amstel Bright when we're in Aruba with an occasional Balashi Chill or Polar. We have had Balashi Light on tap once when we were at the brewery but have never seen it anywhere else - liked it because it was on tap.

If I remember correctly, we paid about 45 Florins for a case of Brights which is about 25 USD. Still alot cheaper than at the beach bar.

When I drink beer on the island it's almost always Balashi. I'm not a beer snob, so I drink the local beer wherever I go. I do like Polar also, but it's getting harder to find. I agree with Amy, Balashi on tap is better than in the bottle, but not incredibly so.

The Holiday Inn pool/beachside bar used to have both Balashi and Balashi Light on tap, but last I checked that was a few years ago. If you are in the area you might want to check there if you are looking.

Thanks! We don't go to Palm Beach very often but if we're in the area when we go to Nos Clubhuis we may check it out. I liked Balashi Light on tap

Bavaria has it on tap and offers a large mug at their happy hour for half price. So far it's the best deal on draft that I've found on the island for Balashi draft.
