Simple groceries near Ren Marina

We have stopped in Kong Hing in O'stad to pick up a few things a long time ago.
Has anyone been in Happy to Go Market? How to they compare?
I'm thinking some fruit, cheese & crackers and wine &/or rum?

We used to do our major groceries at Lings until Super Foods moved accross the street from La Cabana.
I'm hoping to pick up a few things to tide us over so we don't blow our food & beverage budget in the first 2 days

is "happy to go" the place in the seaport marketplace, right next door to the marine boating supply store?
if so...............i found it not so "happy"
the employees follow and treat every customer as a potential thief.

unfortunately, maybe they have been ripped off a lot and need to be proactive...but i find the employee to customer stalking beyond ridiculous.

A good shop keeper will chat people up to deter theft and stop short of creeping

not sure what you have in way of transportation but we have found that although Super Foods is open on Sunday (day of arrival for us) the prices at Ling and Sons are cheaper and have gone back to them. We get in on Sunday, run over to Super Foods for breakfast items for Monday morning then make a list and head over to Lings..

I've been to a grocery store a few streets back from the marina. I don't recall the name. They didn't carry any milk, and that's what we were looking for. I'm not sure what they carried. It was dingy and kind of dirty looking. We just left and went to Ling's. We also tried the store at the marina. They don't have much of a selection. There was a really good bakery in the marina call Foccia ( I believe that's the name). We picked up some breakfast things there, but I just read that they are now closed, which is such a shame.

We will be on foot. I'm thinking of going for a stroll after dinner, giving our friends a little preview of O'stad and stopping for light refreshments on the way back for the night. Party animals right...
Sounds like Kong Hing doesn't have milk, very useful info.
Also good to know the prices at Lings are better than Super Foods. However, for us staying when at La Cabana, (once we factor in either a car rental or taxi, and time lost at the beach) Super Food has a much higher conveniece factor Plus the unfamiliar brands add a level of excitement that we can handle

I've actually found quite a few staples cheaper at SuperFood. Wine is definitely cheaper.
