Palm Beach Roundabout

Well, after way too many years of no traffic lights and craziness, it looks like the roundabout will be open on September 23. Please see pictures for info on getting around it while they shut it down to do the final paving. I don't know who will be happier-tourist or locals.

What's that in the middle... a wall? That sure won't help with visibility.

It's not a wall. It's some type of drainage ditch or retention area. When I enlarge the picture, it looks like they are pumping water out of it. Maybe it will be planter or maybe it is something they have yet to fill in. Not really sure.

So blue or orange + gray will get me to boca catalina area?

Looks like orange gets me to Linda's Dutch Pancake road. I might need a navigator :P

I saw the post yesterday. I didn't realize how big it was until I saw how small the equipment looked in the picture.

Looks like that is where they will park the cars waiting for the police to arrive after the accidents. Other then the roundabout at the airport that area even when there were traffic lights was a challenge. I hope they put in very good street lighting.

Roundabouts/Rotaries were a Godsend to Aruba.
They work well and I expect this one will works well too.
The traffic lights, even when they were working, were a nightmare.
