Roundabout Construction Palm Beach Starts March 7th

It looks like Bavaria, Wendy's and Domino's might lose all or part of their parking lot.

That is what I was just thinking when looking at those pictures. That whole parking lot will be gone. I wonder how/where they will route the Wendy's drive thru? That place goes non-stop! At least whenever we have gone past it is packed...

The only issue I've had with the intersection was making a left out of the Wendy's/Bavaria parking lot and I do not think having the new round about will help that situation.

Starting on Wednesday, they will open the new roundabout heading toward Oranjestad and close the road heading toward the lighthouse. The site has the detour route. They hope to have it complete in 8 weeks. At least that is what I could figure out.

when we were there again on Thursday evening....... the DOW had a red fence up across from the front of those establishments..............where the grass/gravel area is.
per Peter in Bavaria...............they were told they were not losing any parking but during the construction obviously they are.

we parked just a little bit beyond the Dominos.

the scribbled area is the parking that was lost as of Thursday June 30
(Peter said that he was told it would be temporary)
