We too, always like to come through downtown on the arrival day. It brings us back to home very quickly...

Normally when Aruba opens a new highway or bridge - they have a party! I remember when they opened the new bridge on the main road to Savaneta, there was a large party on the bridge with a band to celebrate that grand opening. I arrive on Nov 16th and very excited to test out the new road. Although, I think I'll need to do some research on how to navigate through a "paperclip" roundabout - LOL!

I love the downtown........the buildings, the marina, it gives a me wonderful happy feeling.

I am looking forward to being able to go to PriceSmart or anywhere else in that area without having to plan around the cruise ships. I do like going through town but not with 3 ships in port.

Hi all. Just because I know many of you follow Rona at Bati Bleki on Facebook, I wanted to clear it up so that you all don't get unnecessarily worried just because some people here on the island don't first corroborate before posting. It takes just two minutes of googling to realize that this is standard engineering practice and it's called "reinforced dirt". Why people like to instill fear and mistrust into people is beyond me.

Took the new boulevard to and from the airport circle from Ling's and to Ling's today. It was eleven minutes to and nine minutes return and we were going well under the posted speed limit, and so were others. The majority of the people were just shuffling along, just looking at the project and enjoying the commute.
