What is the status of credit card use at gas stations?

What is the status of credit card use at gas stations?
During the summer it was supposed to switch to cash only and then they held off.
Is the status still credit accepted?

This would be a very timely subject to know about, especially if Credit cards are Not taken, then we'd have to bring alot more cash with us..in a few weeks..nil responses?

Hey fisherfella, welcome to the forum. We always take a bit of cash for tips and other expenditures. I'm sure someone will check in with the credit card payment info. Maybe someone on the island knows?

I don't think I mentioned this on here, but they were never going to actually stop the usage of cards. It was just a threat to get the ball rolling to find a solution. Last I heard they were in talks with parties involved, but I did not follow it on the news further. They never stopped accepting cards as that would be unrealistic, to say the least.

We have used a cc at gas stations on the island since we got here mid Dec. and just used again last week.
