During this so very uncertain and upsetting times of Covid affecting our lives as well as our travel plans ..................let's add some positive Aruba photos that will bring a smile and help us to remain positive.

These photos are from August 2011.
A friend arranged for us to go on a 2 hour private helicopter tour.
Paul and I have been to Aruba over 50 times and we have a few top activities that are unforgettable.
This helicopter tour was up there in the top tier of the best thing we ever did in Aruba.

This was taken on my first trip to Aruba in 2015 for my 60th. My friend, Trish, and I had a private tour with Rancho la Ponderosa. It was amazing but really, really hot and I had the wrong hat. It kept blowing off! But still a wonderful time. We went to the Gold Mines and then on the Ostrich Farm (which I could have passed on honestly). I hadn't been horseback riding since I was a teenager. Did I mention it was really, really hot? And we'll ignore that it is a horrible picture of me!

My most favorite outing in Aruba was unusual and how I managed to find out about it escapes me. On my 2nd trip in 2016, I really wanted to find something different to do. I came across the website for Marian and Ciro Abath's art studio and gallery, Terrafuse. Do any of you recall the large glass teardrops installation at the airport as you disembark? That is an example of Ciro's work. Marian is a teacher and master glassmaker as well. She offers workshops in glass bead making at their home/studio. That was right up my alley and I wrote to her right away. My friend didn't have any interest in joining me (she went on another horseback riding adventure with a different outfit than the year before and it was a complete disaster so I made the right choice!). Marian only takes four attendees and I was lucky enough to be the only one that day. i think you can all tell from the smile on my face in these photos that I had an amazing time. I also absolutely adore their home; an authentic Cunucu house. Let's see if I did this right...
