For government workers this will be a 4 day weekend (offices closed today and tomorrow) so let's hope people follow the rules and we do not see a spike in 10 days or so.

They do? The only holiday is tomorrow for kings day. Or did those public workers take Friday off because labor day falls on Saturday?

Kings day in general is one of if not the least popular holiday, so coupled with more than half of the population already being vaccinated, we shouldn't be expecting any more serious spikes. If it was one of the more popular holidays without such high vaccinations, maybe, but not with kings day.

The government offices (tax office and DOW I can attest to for sure) were closed on Monday April 26, 2021 and will of course be closed today April 27, 2021 which is the actual holiday. I do not know how they will handle the fact that Labor Day is on a Saturday this year!

We like being here on King's Day. Usually there are a lot of specials and things going on. Of course this year will be much more subdued than normal. To get in the spirit I'll wear orange today.
