Covid Testing in Aruba - tourist behavior

I heard the following comment from a group of young girls (late teens/20s??) when coming out of the testing center after their Covid tests to return to the USA:

"Wahoooo, now we get to stay here for another 2wks if we're positive!"

I was sad, angry, disgusted, etc. I had no words. Well, actually, I had lots of words, none of which were appropriate for the families in line with little ones in tow. I thought about saying something and trying to explain what the actual process is if they get "stuck" in Aruba, but decided that you can't fix stupid.

I think you handled that right.... roll your eyes, bite your tongue, shake your head and just move on. Some people don't have a clue!
A little nonsense now and then is relished by the best of men!

Agree with CP - some folks just don't get it - best to ignore it and move on.

You handled it correctly ! Good for you! The scary thing to me....sounds like they are from the USA....and I doubt they are the only ones with that 'attitude'.
