No way I would go with numbers this high as we have full time jobs and couldn’t afford to go Payless for 2 weeks. So glad we went when we did- have no plans for next year as we have work to do around the house that will be taking away from vacation time/funds.

Hopefully with the new protocols in place, as of 12/27, these numbers will subside as quickly as they went up. Wishful thinking…

Sadly we just bailed. We were due to go Jan 1st for a week at Marriot Ocean Club. Based on where we live and the turnaround time for testing at the only facility, there was no way we could get our PCR test results back before we arrived, and we couldn’t afford to miss work and school (college) if we had to go into quarantine before returning to the states. First vacation in 10 yrs. We booked it right after we got vaxxed in May thinking this would be behind us and we didn’t get insurance. Oh well, Aruba will still be there for us when things get better.

Sorry IG- no fun! Sadly you are one of many that are canceling or considering at the very least. I thought 2022 would be different than 2020/2021 but not so sure anymore.
Just Booked trip 36- Trip report starting in June.
