    62% of those residents tested were positive


    From FRESH Aruba Radio via the DVG
    Today's numbers. 315 new infections have been detected, 253 of which among residents (local infection rate 59%). 1,208 people have been declared recovered . The total number of active cases is now 1,818. On average, there are 507 new cases per day with an average daily local infection rate of 62%. At the moment, there are 35 Covid patients in hospital (three more than yesterday), six still in ICU, in addition to the three patients still in ICU in Colombia .

    Feels good to see the numbers going down in Aruba, as well as, here at home. I know we’re just going to have to learn how to live with it but it’s still hard.

    Now this is a little off topic but I wonder if other states are monitoring their wastewater output, as much as they are here in Mass. Guess it’s a good predictor of the direction cases are headed in. Recently, those numbers have been plummeting so hopefully it’s a good sign
