    Returning to US.

Hello folks. My name is Timothy. Own a timeshare at Divi Phoenix. Although I am due to visit end of Sept- love it at that time- I am asking for some info. My resort stated they charge for a return to US. PCR test of $125.00 per person and $50.00 for an Antigen test. What is the difference and can I have the $50.00 test? These are done at the resort. Also, can anyone refer me to a clinic or other location where we can have a cheaper price test? Thank you. Tim.

MedLab Aruba is doing PCR for $100 USD (the also offer antigen) and you can advance book your appointment; they have many locations on the island. I think they also take walk-ins but I would call to confirm. We used them for our trip back to Canada and had our results in twelve hours:

check out the places on this link.

I know there is 1 place that offers the Antigen for $35, but I will have to double check the name of the place and location.

The $35 Antigen is located at the Pasceo Herencia at the far end of the Palm Beach strip across from the new Radisson

Timothy, with any luck the US will eliminate that requirement for returns from Aruba by then. We were in Aruba in March and are going back this Saturday. We did the PCR test at the Aruba Surf Club for $100 per person. The only reason I recommend the PCR vs. the antigen, is that is has a much lower risk of false positive results. Hopefully, it won't be required when you visit in September.

Had ours done this morning at Manchebo.... hopefully you won't have to for your travels. Don't fret... if this old guy can handle the logistics... you can too!

If you take the antigen test and it comes back positive and you think it's a false positive, you can take the PCR test to confirm.

Hello Brian and thank you for the comparing one from the other test. We cannot afford positive/false tests. But , you are right and I hope things change by then and that they eliminate the $35.00 or so from having to purchase there insurance. I think its a rip off. Again Brian thank you.

Thank you for your info and I hope by Sept. they will change the rules , if all gets better . We both have had our shots ,Tim and Kate, I read your update on the Smart Medical Card for Cobid- 19 and immediately called CVS headquaters and they did not know what I was asking for. They are NOT involved in that program at this time. Thanks again. Tim.
