I just got tested this morning at 8:30 am at the main hospital. They do it around the back and have signs up. Drive thru or walk in. They have a tent set up outside. No appointment needed. Just show up 2 days before you travel. Antigen is $35 and PCR is $75. Cash or CC. She told me that 1 out of every 10 with the antigen, shows a miss post. So I got the PCR. Had my results before noon. many people think it is a rip off and I get it!

I think it is a great program and well worth the $.

I am grateful that Aruba has come up with the plan for us and that they are not only looking out for the tourists but looking out for all of the Arubans.

we always buy travel/trip insurance and at the end of each trip, we are happy that we have not had to use it.
our last couple of Aruba trips we had the mandated insurance that is for Covid positivity and the usual trip cancellation/accident/illness/travel policy that we buy.
here is the link and some benefits

My wife and I took the antigen test and we were both negative. The funny thing is that we were never asked for the test results at the airport. We just provided the signed attestation form.

Hi, how is Manchebo handling the testing? We will be staying there in September, and were wondering if it is done at the resort, how much it costs, and any other details. Thanks!

If you don't want to test at Mancheebo, just walk across the road to the Hospital.

I believe Manchebo is doing it on site so you just have to walk off the beach for a few minutes. They'll print the results out for you in the lobby. They will also schedule it for you based on your checkout date. But Chuck did it this week so perhaps when he and Patti get home he can confirm I got that all right!

Thank you for info on Pasceo Herencia. I was on there web site and found out the following:
    1) The PCR Covid test is about $100.00 and is 98%accuracy rate. (waiting for them to confirm this price)
    2) The Antigen Test cost around $35.00 and is 94% accuracy rate.

I was very leery on the Antigen test.
My husband and I decided that we'd do it.
We had our Antigen test at LaCabana $50 each and the negative results came back within 4 hrs.

We figured if one of us tested positive, we'd then do the PCR test.
94% of accuracy is still a very good rate for the Antigen.

When I stood at the Phoenix in May I did the PCR test there at the resort $125. It was convenient having it done at the resort. I had a reservation, went to the pool early in the day, ate lunch, went to room to shower, relaxed a bit then took the elevator down for the test which was quick. Most people were taking the antigen test for $50 and i don't blame them because a couple would end up paying $250 for a PCR test versus $100 for antigen.

I don't feel the US will lift testing requirements for returning back to USA on account of that new strain Delta which is spreading fast. As we all know positivity rate is increasing in all states mostly due to the unvaccinated so I see the opposite occurring with returning back to more restrictions. The Mayor in NY is urging hospital workers to get vaccinated (50% chose to vaccinate) or submit to weekly covid testing. If they refused weekly testing, possible suspension and or termination. It's not over!
