I was in a Dutch bar having lunch with my wife. I happened to be looking over at the bar and i hear the bartender say "Fly Fishing Thailand" in English. I sure do a lot of fishing and can speak Thai pretty well ( well actually I used to ). We have been friends for more than 20 years.

Second best thing I ever did with regards to Aruba?? Extending my stay beyond seven days, got to experience and appreciate more about the island.

Second best thing is our second trip coming up in March. I look forward to the day when we can stay for more than one week and/or buy our own place there.

I think a lot of us are looking forward to that day (and I'm really responding just so I can see my updated trip tracker! LOL!).

Renting a house instead of staying in a hotel.

The second best thing we did was purchasing a time share at Playa Linda and being able to visit for two weeks.

Since 1980, and throughout the many changes, we still love going downtown in Oranjestad.

    Good morning everyone,

This is kind of a tough one. Making me think on my own time. Lol.

The second best thing for me is having discovered Sunset Beach Studios. Just being that little bit away from the high-rise area, it is quiet, comfortable, clean, friendly and yes, we'll be staying there again.

The very best thing I ever did? I actually paid attention to a guy I met I Bermuda in 1976 who told me about Aruba. I'd never even heard of the place till then. I couldn't afford it at the time (Me being a penniless articling accounting student then) but in 1980 I went on my own Aruba discovery trip.

Aruba captivated me and my love for it has never diminished. Aruba in October, Maui in May. These are the days of our lives.

Many say lucky or fortunate .....

I say blessed to have Aruba.
