    Aruba...South of the hurricane belt

Many tourists who visit Aruba, chose Aruba due to it being on the outskirts of the hurricane belt.
Were you one of those tourists?
I bet many forum members chose Aruba for that reason! (along with many other reasons)

Yes, we got married in June and wanted nothing to do with any hurricane so our travel agent (funny word I know) suggested we look into Aruba.

Yep, us too. Our original wedding date was supposed to be September so Aruba was recommended to us by a travel agent too.

Absolutely. I've experienced two in other parts of the Caribbean. Enough is enough.

I handle things well at home and deal with most situations appropriately, but...I think I would worry beyond worry in a foreign land with a hurricane approaching and drop dead with worry and I am not one to panic about things.

We were aware Aruba is outside of normal hurricane paths but it wasn't really a factor as we visit in Jan/Feb.
