    Crystal/Seaport Casino Help Needed

I understand the Renaissance casinos, the Crystal and Seaport Casinos, are now being run by the Wind Creek tribe. I have seen new players cards, which don't even mention the Crystal or Seaport Casinos. So, first, does anyone know or can anyone find out if they have new chips and playing cards? If they do, can anyone help me get some of the low denomination chips, a deck of playing cards and a business card? If so, please send me a pm. I will pay for them and will pay shipping and for a bubble mailer, plus a little extra.

    Thank you very much!

Don't be discouraged Chip. Maybe there hasn't been anyone staying downtown that can help. What steps does one have to go through to obtain the items you want? I'm not a gambler so I wouldn't know who to approach for something like that. Maybe folks are just a bit apprehensive. I will be on the island soon, maybe I can help you out.

    exactly as walt says!
this posting has had 245 views.

    many folks ARE apprehensive.
it is just a sign of our times.....maybe not so good, maybe good.

also too, many folks are in the hi rise or palm beach area and the never get in to the crystal or seaport.

I too will be on island shortly, but do not think that we will be heading to the crystal or seaport.

My feeling is it’s difficult to commit to honoring a request like this if you are not staying downtown. When on vacation plans often change, maybe you just want to hang out at the beach all day or have other plans. A person may not feel like making a special trip downtown. I know when I’m on vacation it’s to relax and not worry about having to do something.

Yep...I am never downtown outside of driving through on the way to and from the airport. If it was on palm I would have been more than happy to help again.

Thank you for all of the replies. As for honoring the commitment, I never make anyone make a commitment. Vacation comes first. If someone can't do it, no problem. I understand the issue about downtown. Once again, thank you all.

But how do we get the items you need? Do I just walk up to a table and ask for a deck of cards? Are they available for purchase somewhere?

    Chip Collector,

Sorry I didn't see your post while I was in Aruba the week before last. I mostly avoided my electronics, so I didn't visit this forum.

I will comment on the casino, though. They clearly spent quite a bit of money rehabbing and updating the casino (both the facility and the machines). They did a wonderful job! I didn't play any table games, so I didn't notice the chips or the cards.

    But ...

As a video poker player, I was extremely dismayed to see that there are now only 5 VP machines (about 1/4 of what there used to be). And the worst thing is that they went from having the best paytables on the island to having the worst paytables that are possible.

I don't plan on returning. And I believe I made a visit to that casino in each of my previous 30+ trips to Aruba.

Sorry to hear that, rpumpire! New management.

Walt, there are a few ways. I collect a number of things, so here is the answer. You can usually buy chips from the casino cage or from tables. Empty tables are usually more receptive. Some pit managers won't allow it, but most will. The worst that happens is they tell you that you can't buy chips from them without playing. The cage will always sell you chips. They will usually not sell roulettes or tournament chips, but will sell the normal chips, and may sell "credit" chips, florin chips, and possibly even promotional no cash value chips. For playing cards, some pit managers will just hand you a deck of cards. Dealers will ask the pit managers. Sometimes, you have to buy them from a shop in the hotel. For players cards, most casinos will give you blanks if you ask for them. Some will give you blanks of all of their different types of cards (platinum, etc.). For business cards, managers of all levels usually have business cards and are happy to give them to you.

I will then pay for any expenses (chip costs, if you have to buy the cards, etc.), costs of bubble mailers or padded envelopes, postage to send it all and usually a bit more for taking the time to help me out.
