    Dumping certain threads

There are old and useless threads on this forum.
Such as/not limited to: timeshares for rent, restaurants that are now defunct etc..

I take some time a few times a year and move those to a dumping ground on the moderator page.

I cannot wait do do that with EVERYTHING covid related.

I hate to say it, but we (the population as a whole) seem to be moving too quickly back to our old ways I.e. full sports arenas, massive gatherings at bars and other large gatherings without masks or social distancing (does everyone know IF everyone is vaccinated) too fast. Every time my wife and I see these displays we look at each other and say “what’s COVID”?
maybe it’s being a bit jaded, but I don’t think we should forget what we’ve been thru and go back to the way things were completely, so fast. We sure don’t want to end up “back there” again.
I would vote not to dump those threads yet.

COMPLETELY agree. Especially given what's going on in Britain this week.

I suspect that with the vaccine readily available in the U.S. and it's effectiveness against variants (including the Delta variant) we will continue to roll back to normal conditions over the next few months.

We have to remember the main reason we had the lock downs to begin with were due to overwhelming the hospitals, doctors, nurses etc. with too many patients. The vaccine is helping prevent that from happening again even in the U.K. and while there will be surges, those will occur in areas with very low vaccination rates, think rural, small towns and will not likely spread to other areas where there is a high vaccination rate which is literally every major city in the U.S..
