    High Surf

Meto posted a high surf warning as a result of swells approaching the island from the northeast. Coastal areas will be impacted.

Casa del Mar and Bucutti beach cams are showing the waves.

Anyone on the island be safe in the ocean.

Hope it doesn't affect the progress being made with beach erosion. Casa del Mar beach is looking pretty good on webcam.

    One never knows Mother Nature

Up til October , Aruba had been incredibly dry for 18+ months.

    Yep,

Happens in Charleston frequently. Moon proximity + tide + changes in current and timing

read something interesting on this topic. It is speculated that the north side boca's, which possess those spectacular beaches, were originally formed glacially, carving away through the terraces.

Saw a picture yesterday on Facebook of 2 palapas down on the Tamarjn Beach. They sure have taken a beating in that area this year.

Even local people don't remember when it was rain season so long. For the past 8 weeks, it is raining every day. And the surf is hard.
    Malmok Beach today.

Red flags have been up for the past two days on Eagle Beach, with large waves similar in size with those of last October (Matthew). Moderate beach erosion has also occurred. Casa del Mar has probably lost 30-40% of the sand that they replaced.
