I am glad that you and your bride are doing what is right for you.
Since you are a cancer survivor, I know that you are immunocompromised and must take great precautions.
I respect your decision not to travel to AUA in 2020.
I hope 2021 brings more ease and less risk for you and others.

So when you write "Aruba is making us jump through too many hoops," I understand that is too many hoops for you.
It is indeed too many hoops for many.

Aruba has taken the extreme precautions (the hoops) to protect all of its people, all of the tourists and to help tourism begin to open slowly and safely.
I welcome the "hoop jumping" and am grateful that when we do go to Aruba in November (God willing) Aruba will be doing more and better, than what my city, state and country are doing for my safety here. (Here in Florida Covid is spiking and some cities here are not being proactive.)

It is not an easy choice to cancel, but you have to do what is right for you. Most of our group re-booked our March/April trip to October. We are still waiting to see how things play out in the next few months after Aruba opens travel to the US before making a final decisions about October.

......frankly, I think it'll be long time before Aruba will let anyone from the USA in if we don't get our act together with controlling this virus.

We’ve had that thought as well. Massachusetts is making good progress now. I hope things continue to be positive as places start to reopen.

Agree with you completely, Chuck. It's disheartening to see that those states that stayed the course like CT, NY, NJ and MA (among others) now have to worry about people coming from other states IN OUR OWN COUNTRY. CT, NY and NJ made a joint directive today that people travelling into or back into those three have to quarantine for 14 days. Almost impossible to enforce but the governors hope it helps. And they haven't ruled out stricter restrictions if it doesn't.

And if the EU decides to ban Americans from entering, query if places like Aruba would follow suit to keep their people safe. I wouldn't blame any of them considering the dismal job the US has and is doing.

Everyone(individuals, cities, states, countries, etc) need to do what is necessary to prevent the virus from spreading. I give every country credit who wants to protect its citizens. It is so frustrating to see numbers climbing around the country. Didn't they learn anything from NY, NJ, CT, MA? It disturbs me to see that people are not taking this virus seriously. I wonder what will it take for people to do what is necessary to prevent the spread.

if you rented directly thru BG, then contact them.
