I'm so glad that we went to Aruba early this year

We always go to Aruba around the end of Jan. or early Feb. We had some things come up this year, that caused us to need to change the timing of our trip. We decided to go in Nov., and celebrate my husband's birthday while we were there. We had a great trip, but I knew that when the weather gets really lousy this winter, I would miss being in Aruba. This past Friday, I fell on our front porch, while carrying in packages, delivered by UPS. I broke my right ankle. Right now, I can do nothing. Poor Mr. Hatteras is having to do everything. If we had scheduled our trip at our usual time, I'm sure that we would have had to cancel. We love spending time in the water, and do lots of beach walks, along with long walks to restaurants, etc. I'm glad that I was able to do that, just two weeks ago. I'm sure that I will enjoy Aruba through all of you this winter.

Oh gosh, I am so sorry to hear about your broken ankle! You have a positive way of looking at things though. Saying prayers you heal quickly!

Oh no! Hope you are on the mend! The holidays are a terrible time to be in a cast, I was in one years ago and it really dampened my spirit.

So sorry to hear about your ankle, what was in those heavy packages (lol)? It will be a story to tell when the person opens the gift you broke your ankle on Things happen for a reason so I am sure you going to Aruba early was a good thing as much as you will miss it come winter it is good you did not miss out entirely. I love walking as well this is the first year I had a fitbit with me, my first week walked 32 plus miles, second 19 so my legs were happy
