We are headed back to Aruba in February after missing last year all together and having a strangely subdued pandemic trip near the end of 2020, that was filled with anxiety around Covid testing and getting sick abroad. To say I cannot wait would be an understatement. I love that we only have a couple months to go! The single digit temps got me on a mission to get something booked this week!
I'm spoiled, as I cringe when I say we are only able to go for a week. But as my personal Aruba insider has reminded me, at least we are going! My ideal trip is around 10-12 days, but I am better at relaxing than I used to be so hopefully I will settle in right away. Our schedules just did not align for us to take more time than a week right now and we are itching to get to our favorite warm and sunny island.
Our timeshare at Playa Linda and flight officially got reserved today. So now we plan. We won't rent a car during this trip. Our restaurant list has started - we will only plan 2 nights and the rest we will have some ideas, but pretty much wing it. My choice is Lima Bistro based on a trusted forum review, and Jon is considering Brutto as his choice - has anyone been?
I'm sure we will eat Tuna Poke Bowls from Eduardos for lunch a few times. We will probably day drink on the beach and that will be about as exciting as it gets. One of my top 5 Aruba memories is watching the Super Bowl on the beach and this year we get to do it again. We may do one day away from the beach but we will wait and see. We haven't been to Aruba in high season in quite some time so that will be a change for us.
