Well, he went back in the hospital on the 27th and he is still in there. His oxygen is playing games with him, good bad, good bad....Did seem better today and is on steroids. I cancelled our trip. The woman that helped me at Jet Blue was the best customer service rep ever! They gave me back my points & my $ in my bank history (no cancellation fee). The insurance that is responsible for about $400 of the balance is ridiculous. I have about 6 pages for my husband and 6 pages for my self to fill out and I need to go to my doctors and have them fill out their paper work. It takes the minimum of 4 weeks and then they may not agree to send me the money. in that case I need to go back to Insure My Trip and they said they will step in if AIG does not want to pay. What that means I have no idea! I cancelled the ride to the airport and the parking, e-mailed Wheels to Go and Ricky & Anky were very understanding.
Now I need a big glass of wine so I can unpack the suitcases. ; (
Please keep the stories coming so I can feel like I am there and thanks again for the prayers! Hopefully, 2017 we can make new Aruba plans!

I am very sorry to hear your husband is back in the hospital. Our prayers and thoughts are with you and your husband. The red tape for cancelling sounds exhausting.

So sorry to hear that your husband is back in the hospital and you had to cancel! I know how disappointing it is. Hopefully, you will get some peace of mind knowing that your husband is being cared for. Aruba will be there when you are ready. I know when I cancelled (we would have been there now) I felt a sense of relief. The decision was made and we could focus on his treatment. The thing about the insurance papers is most doctors are pretty good about filling them out.

I am sorry hubby is back in the hospital, no fun at all! I hope he recovers quickly. Not having the trip to worry about may make it easier on both of you, as Peg mentioned. Prayers coming your way.

Concentrate on what is important.....your husbands health. Put that first and foremost. Insurance, while annoying and time consuming will work out. Remember that when this is all over, Aruba will be waiting to welcome you with open arms.

Sorry to hear that you had to cancel your trip, it's better that your husband be 100% healthy. Thankfully Aruba is not going anywhere so once your husband is on the up and up it will be there waiting to welcome you both back with open loving arms. Take care!!

I agree with Peg and others that now that the trip is off, you will both have less stress to deal with. Take care of your husband and take care of you. Aruba will understand and all of us will be there for you.
