The "Old" Aruba Commercials TV and Radio

Aruba used to be heavily marketed in New England and NY and NJ.
    TV, Radio and Print.
Every winter we were bombarded with Aruba commercials....remember Aruba Charlie?

For those of you who live in those areas of the USA, are you hearing or seeing any Aruba marketing commercials?

What about you folks in Europe? What kind of marketing platforms are you seeing/hearing?

I haven’t see any TV ads on Aruba in a very long time. I just now saw an ad for the “Beaches” brand and they showed a gorgeous beach. At this time of year when our weather is cold and miserable, more TV ads are shown to go to a beach destination. I will pay closer attention and keep you posted but I do know Aruba is hardly ever advertised on TV that I can remember. I do remember Jamaica, Grand Cayman, The Bahamas and other destinations.

Haven’t seen or heard any Aruba advertising in quite awhile. In our area, we used to hear ads on the radio. Can’t say I remember any television commercials. I do, however, see a fair amount on Twitter. The ads I’ve been noticing have been for the Florida Keys, the Bahamas and the Carolinas.

I heard the same radio ad several times before Covid in the Philly area. The closest thing I see is when someone wins a trip to one of the Divi resorts on Wheel of Fortune.

With the amount of tourists Aruba gets I guess they don’t have to spend money on Marketing. However, with our current rate of inflation, the increased prices of airfare, hotels and everything else, things may change for tourism in general. Some people are opting for driving destinations.
