We stay at Tamarijn. Our Palapa is 5 steps off our patio. Never ever have a problem of having a Palapa. There have been times when we'll share one with neighbors. Each take a side. No need to have a beach bag or vault as our room is just steps away.

A women who is not even staying at the boardwalk was in my lounger yesterday using my towel after I was out of the chair for less than 20 min...lets just say this women did not get a warm welcome from me- some people are ignorant and this women was just that. It would be one thing if the chair was not made up...my shoes on the table- just crazy IMO. She says I thought you left in a nasty tone so I responded with a nasty tone of my own that is not fit for this site.

I hope that with the new changes coming things like this don't happen more often. I don't go on vacation to argue with people but I won't ever allow something like yesterday to happen without me voicing my displeasure. On that note off to the beach, lol.

When we have stayed on Eagle Beach, we have shared our palapa several times. One time it was with a couple who then invited their friends. We felt very uncomfortable, like we were the intruders. After that, when people ask to share, I always say they are welcome, but only if it's the two of them.

People are ignorant. I would have been nasty too. Like I told someone the other day, I am the type the person who will do anything for anyone, but just mess with me once and all bets are off-my inner ___ itch comes out and she is evil.

Well, we normally sit out on the beach near where the kids club is at the HI. One of the days, I was walking over to Scott's Brats and there was a shoving match between a rather large group of people and a lady all under the palapa area. When I came back from Scott's the hotel security was there along with Aruba police. The lady got escorted away. I really don't know what happened and don't want to speculate but it seemed that the group had a palapa and the lady had a palapa. I'm guessing, by the arguing that was going on, that someone brushed up against her or sand was flipped up on her when someone walked by. I can only assume this is going to happen more as the new configuration has the roofs touching. It's really tight under those things and they are like 4 rows deep. Even getting from the beach to the boardwalk feels like you're invading personal space as you've got to duck underneath them all to get to the walk. I agree that there's just going to be no pleasing everyone.

So glad we have the opportunity to use our own beach chairs. We may have a to cart them around, but we land in our own space.
