Palm Beach: best place to settle outside of resort areas

So excited for our trip Jan 17-24! We are staying in Palm Beach at a Vrbo house about 1/2 mile from the Hilton. I've been reading about palapas and have to confess, I'm quite confused on where we would be able to go on Palm Beach to grab one for the day.

Can anyone recommend a spot on Palm Beach where resorts do not control the palapas? We will be hoofing it from the house to the beach...I have not rented a car yet and am trying to avoid doing so.

    TIA

I would recommend the area between Moomba and Holiday Inn. There are chairs and umbrellas there for rent.

I want to grow my own food, but I
    can't find any bacon seeds...

We are staying at the Radisson Blu in a few weeks which is in Palm Beach but away from the crowds and a 5 minute walk to the beach. We can rent chairs and unbrella at Moomba Beach. Looking foward to it.

There is a place near Pelican Pier that has chair too, in between Holiday Inn and Playa Linda.

I haven't been there in several years, but there was a place between the Ritz and the Marriott Stellaris.

1/2 mile although not real far.......... may seem like miles hoofing it back to the VRBO... tired, sandy, salty.
I would recommend renting a car.........then head to Arashi or Boca Catalina beaches......if you are there by 8 am, maybe a little later, you should be able to use the palapas there. there are a few!

Does the VRBO have beach chairs for you to use?

    Please.......where is the VRBO?
THINK.. is it Thoughtful? Helpful? Inspirational? Necessary? Kind? sidtm

The VRBO is near Wacky Wahoos and The Old Cunucu House. They do provide beach chairs and toys.

I know that walk back will be a drag, but we are renting a car for all but a few days of our stay. I'm hoping to check out Baby Beach, Eagle beach and Boca Catalina. In our past visits we've stayed mostly on Palm Beach, so this will be an Aruba exploration trip!

Be sure to download maps.me it will help you get around the island and it works offline. If it's the first time exploring the island, take your time and plan out the sights you want to see. Also a quick trip to Alto Vista church is always a pleasant and calming experience. With prior planning the entire island can be seen in a day or two.

Thank you for the tips! I just downloaded the maps.me app and I'm practicing with it now!
