Passport Renewal

Sooooo, after having to use multiple forms (cross outs and not following directions) I finally have my passport renewal package ready to drop off at the post office in the morning. Not going outta country until the end of June as usual..... but I've finally got this outta the way early! Not bad for a horrible procrastinator!

On a side note, I happened to be speaking with a neighbor tonight who was planning a trip around this time! Well, she discovered that she needed to get her name changed (married coupla years ago) with the Dept of State so she could go. She did send her application requesting expedited processing but it still causes her a delay in getting a trip booked and probably won't be able to go till well after the first of the year.

Plan ahead folks!

I've read that as long as the name on your ticket matches the passport you can still use it, if it isn't expired of course. You just have to have your ID and your ticket match.

Thanks for the post and the reminder. Our county clerk’s office helps with passport renewal forms. We went there today, completed everything and dropped off our package at the post office.

Just got an email telling me I'm approved and should receive my passport in a few days!

If I do get it this week... that's just under 2 months and during the holidays.

That's not too bad for the holidays, we have a guy at work that's been waiting for four months so far. It's always a good idea to know your passport, Global Entry and TSA Precheck expiration dates and reapply early.

Yup.... so I did get it a few days ago.... and lots of changes over 10 years.... and that's beyond my scary aging process in the photo. The photo page seems to be almost indestructable.... and is thick and rigid enough to be used as a weapon! At least it's one step outta the way for my next trip!
