Pet care when you travel to Aruba

What do you do for pet care when you travel to Aruba?

We are lucky enough to have friends that will look in on our cat and scoop in the litter box and check food and water every day while we are away.
Our dog Lily goes to another friend who does dog sitting in his home for a part time business!
We are fortunate that our pets are well cared for.

Another option we have for Lily is a "pet resort" that is cage free....she enjoys it there and they do a great job.

When our loved ones have to be left behind when we all go to Aruba it is good to have peace of mind!
THINK.. is it Thoughtful? Helpful? Inspirational? Necessary? Kind? sidtm

We always sent Maddy to a pet resort. She had an individual “suite” with a bed. The suite had a doggy door to her own fenced kennel run. It was nice she could go in and out as she wanted. An attendant would take her out for a walk in the morning for some one on one time. They also let the dogs out 4 times a day for supervised play time. She seemed happy enough to be there.

We've been very fortunate over the years with a couple of different 'house/pet sitters'....... Costs a bit more, but I think it's right to keep the dog and cat in their own element.

For years we would board our 3 pup children at a vets office that offered a "condo." The three would have a full size room to themselves and full time care. It cost us $700 for a week. For the last year our long time friends 20 year old daughter stays at our house and takes care of them when we vacation. She has time away from her parents, makes $300, the pups know her., and we fully trust her. Win win situation for us!

We pay our former child sitter $75 daily to stay at our house and watch our mutts. A few dollars cheaper than boarding and much easier on the dogs for sure.
Trip 38 booked for Feb! Cant wait.
