Too bad we don't have such a variety of cards in Canada. Only the Amex Bonvoy (Personnal or Business) is available...
On the good side i'm already Lifetime Platinum.

I have lifetime status with Marriott as well. But I am not a fan of how they changed the program in March with the very high point requirements for stays. I used to charge everything on my Marriott Bonvoy card. Now I only use it at Marriott properties or out of the country if other cards charge international fees.

I'm also lifetime platinum and I hate the new program. I use my Hilton Amex card for stays at Marriott properties, Chase IHG for Holiday Inn. You get more bang for your buck, at least I do.

Our friends’s kids who have big jobs in finance talked us into getting the Chase Freedom Card for cash back (we recently went through a renovation and used it a lot). They also all have the Chase Sapphire reserve card that works together with the Freedom card. It is very expensive - $550 but they give you back $300 for any kind of travel expense including EZ pass. So they use the Chase Sapphire for travel and restaurants and the Freedom for everything else. They end up transferring points from one to another. Apparently the sapphire card has a lot of benefits. I am not there yet since it’s expensive but it also includes travel insurance so something to think about.

I am ready to toss my Ritz card into the trash after I burn my points....it went from an incredible program to being JUNK with the new changes. 85k points for a room is comical. Looks like we will just charge on our JB card so we at least get some free tickets every other year at the least.
Trip 38 booked for Feb! Cant wait.

I know! Marriott got way to big for their bridges buying too many properties so they are making it impossible to use points! I was lucky to book 5 nights on points before the program changed. I used to book all my nights on points! And….the Marriott rooms are in need of a renovation! They said they are doing pool soon. Next year they will do a room refresh. Following year total Reno. Won’t be affordable at all!!!
