Although the vaccines are liberating, I really have no objections to the testing b4 or upon leaving Aruba.
I guess that is my belt and suspender philosophy.
    The Delta variant is unsettling.

Aruba on Monday opens up vaccinations to all ages 12 and older.

The Delta variant is definitely scary but the good news is all vaccines seem to be effective. My friend and her son tested positive this week! Anti vaxers.

I can't wait to hear more! I would love for the testing 72 hrs prior to arrival to be changed. It's just stressful to schedule another thing before travel!

"The Daily" did a show dedicated to the rise of the delta variant. Some of the data coming out of Israel might be cause for concern BUT the vaccines still seem to be effective at preventing serious illness/death if not outright obliteration of the virus.

I understand your concern. My son had a version of Coronavirus (not Covid-19) during the summer of 2019. He was very, very ill. Hospitalized for 3 weeks and had to stay quarantined for another two weeks after he was released. He had a team of 7 specialists from Yale-Hew HavenHospital and they even published a paper about his case in the Journal of the American Medical Association regarding his lingering blood clots (which didn’t go away until the following February. )
He’s a soccer coach and has to be tested daily. He still sometimes gets false positives when he’s tested. He is fully vaccinated as are all of us in the family. He was supposed to join us in Aruba this week with his wife and kids but his CovidTest taken 72 hours before departure came back positive. They Immediately took another test and it came back negative. He’s not willing to take a chance that the same thing would happen testing in Aruba for return to the USA so they canceled the trip. As disappointed as we are we know he made the right decision.
