Our company was hit with a ransomware attack earlier this month. Scary stuff.

No, our IT guys caught it and shut down the entire network. It was the same ransomware that attacked the city of Baltimore. Everyone had their computers scanned and the hard drives removed and replaced. Servers were slicked and the entire infrastructure was rebuilt. It's taken about 3 weeks and we still aren't at 100%. Luckily the company has insurance for just this sort of occurrence. A lot of things normally done with computers were done by hand. There was a core group of folks that were issued laptops so business could continue somewhat, but it slowed things down considerably. Needless to say cyber security training has been stepped up.

I'm glad they are working on being more environmentally friendly. The hospital is in a bad position if they can't figure it out. The company that managed the condo complex at our shore was hit a few years ago. It is small family owned business and they didn't have the $$$ to pay so everything was lost. Luckily most was in paper form too.
