If this was your 1st trip would you ever consider returning? NOPE! Wow, lets fix this Aruba as you are loosing guest by the day with things like this.

We were one and done with Amsterdam Manor when we first moved from Palm Beach. Beautiful resort.... but the smell and flies!

Yes I did see that "stinky" report by Andrea from Lacabana and I'm wishing that was all it is.
I'm wondering about the report of drains gushing like a fountain ? How bad is it?

Drains “may “ have gushed but certainly not all. According to a local friend the 24 Ora was widely exaggerated and even the texts I was getting from concerned friends not on island were off putting and ridiculous….. and these folks were quoting the news.
We have been past the Amsterdam Manor 4 times in 48 hrs and each time including at 7:45 am today there was a smell from the treatment plant all the way to Eagle Beach at the AM area AND into parking at LaCabana and Eagle Resorts.
Been Past Costa Linda 6 times so far including today at 2 and no issues from what I can see.
There are some road barriers put up near the Beach Shack place maybe over some storm drains?? But I could not say for sure.

There were issues at cruise port but nothing as “Run the sky is falling” as was reported

Phew...so the sky is Not falling! That's why I was waiting for a first hand report, Thanks Andrea.
The smell is one thing, but gushing drains? well that is a Big Bad deal.

That makes it sound much better....I had other visions and they were not pleasant.

Someone on FB the other day said it was coming out of the drains and running in the streets, but he was quoting 24ora. He said there were two articles and one claimed that they had pallets down downtown so people would not have to walk in it. Sounds exaggerated to me.
