I don't think because they are investigating it you can jump to the conclusion "it is a skeleton". It means they are investigating to see if it's a skeleton.

The articles I read said these people were on a cruiseship. went on a snorkel tour and it was by a wreck. The don't know which wreck it was.

I can provide article referencing the above paragraph if you want it.

i head one of the interviews and they said it was the "antilla" shipwreck.

one of the previous posters says "definitely not a skeleton"
i am wondering where she got that information.

I have not seen anyone mention if the photo has been modified, so I will work with the assumption that it has not:

The Antilla is the only shipwreck the snorkeling tours hit, to the best of my knowledge. That said, the depth at the Antilla is 60-80 feet and I find it unlikely that the woman was diving down to within ten feet or so of the bottom while snorkeling there. The amount and type of light in the pic, also strikes me as incorrect for that depth.

As for the subject matter, it looks like rocks. From the right angle, with the right inclination, you may be able to argue that there is a body shape. But there is no skin nor exposed bone so that means it would have to be encased in something. It appears to have hard, defined natural edges, not a bag or clothing of some type.

I sure hope these people were honestly trying to help and not just looking for a little attention because nothing really seems to fit together.

First time post (just signed up) and probably a strange one to comment on. But, as an experienced snorkeler and diver, I dont see anything different than the rest of the bottom. Personally, I would welcome the news that it was just so the family could bring the remains back to Ala and have some closure. On another note, coming to Aruba the first week of April, cant wait! I am sure I will be posting some other questions- great site!
