I believe turtle hatching season runs from May until November? Wondering how many on the forum have witnessed one? We came close once missing the hatching on Divi AI beach by about a day. Hoping we’ll be fortunate to see one in May.

i hope so peg.
you will undoubtedly see the caution/keep away barriers on the beach near the bucuti.
i would love someday to see a hatching in aruba.
a couple of years ago we were at condo on New Smyrna Beach (north of Cocoa) and there was a hatching!
the police barricaded the area blocking any kind of viewing from people that had gathered.
There are quite a few barricades around every year in May - mainly on Eagle beach and I've seen at least one if not two every year on Arashi. In past years, there has been a number/email address on the barricades for Tortuga, where you can sign up to receive a message if a hatching is taking place. I have signed up 2-3 times, but have never received an alert. I think May is a bit early to actually witness a hatching - I pray every year we will catch one, but never have.
We have seen the turtles hatch twice.....first time we saw a crowd on the beach and went to check it out .....about 4 hours later they finally hatched.....pretty amazing..second time they were already hatching when we got there....I love the fact that our granddaughters were with us both times. I still haven't caught a hatching. We've seen the barricades up in July & August. Hopefully someday!
