No problem...I use a VPN whenever we're not connected to our home or business network.

while in Aruba and other places (like my clubhouse and pool area) I do not want our stuff at risk of being hacked/compromised.

That is correct. It's just easier that way.

You should be able to use your VPN while on Aruba, especially when it comes to keeping your transactions secure while using the internet. And it also comes in handy if you want to watch anything online while you are outside of the USA, you won't get that "You are unable to view this as you are outside of the region" message.

I may have to look into this. I know I should use VPN, but I haven't had a problem yet so I haven't worried about it. I rarely use public WiFi here in the US because I generally just use my phone data. However I do use WiFi in Aruba just about the whole time I'm there.

Yes you can use VPN easily while on Aruba. There are various free vpn services available in the market. Though i would recommend windscribe and tunnel bear as i used them but it is better to look other possible options. But always remember free vpn services keep the data and log and it is not what you want from privacy prospective. I would onl use Expressvpn and it is indeed the worthy and trusted vpn. Key features with good speed and excellent support. You do check here some of the other key features and details of expressvpn on this page as well Some of the noted free vpn services listed here https://www.criticthoughts.com/vpn/expressvpn-review/
Always know that free vpns are not the viable option as a privacy tool
