    Waves @ Palm Beach today!!

Apparently Hurricane Fiona is causing some rough seas ....even in Aruba.
My very reliable source ..........who is currently on day 8 of her 10 day stay..texted me earlier, told me that there were waves on Palm Beach and that even some of the snorkeling adventures were cancelled due to the rough waters.

Personally I love the waves, but I know many people go to the Palm Beach area because the water is usually quite calm and still.
THINK.. is it Thoughtful? Helpful? Inspirational? Necessary? Kind? sidtm

Wow, that is unusual. I like the waves as well but sometimes they can be really rough in the low rise area, never seen it on Palm Beach.

We were there once during a storm and the surf was pounding the shore! It took out many of the palapas along palm beach....it was like nothing I have seen before or after.

The next hurricane currently named 98L may sideswipe Aruba. Currently Fiona's winds and pressure is keeping the next one further south. I'll be watching and praying it pushes North.

The waves were ridiculous yesterday we were supposed to go snorkeling but I backed out around 5:30 in the morning when I got up and saw the water. Everybody else backed out as soon as they woke up, too LOL

Hopefully someone will post some pictures of the wave action.

Monday late afternoon when I passed by Druif Beach (between Divi and Tam) it was as rough as the Maine coast! No photo but I am sure you can imagine!

Someone posted a video at Santa Cruz which showed the wind blowing debris and what looked like aluminum siding off a building. Not sure when the video was taken.

I just checked out the webcams for Costa Linda and the Amsterdam and you can sure tell a difference in the ocean - way more waves and a few whitecaps out there. Weather looks beautiful though
