Weather ??? Rain Thunder Lightening !!

We just got here Tues. late afternoon and it has been cloudy, on and off rain, and thunder and lightning!
It is raining, really raining as I write, and we have Wild Booming Thunder and Lightening that is actually scary loud and frightening !
Is anyone else here that has seen this kind of weather in sunny Aruba ?

We've seen rain before and sometimes it's pretty substantial. But it's been years since we were washed out for a whole day. Looking at the webcams it looks kinda rough and hardly anyone on the beach and pool decks. Usually when it rains we park at the nearest beach bar and wait it out.

I want to grow my own food, but I
    can't find any bacon seeds...

I love thunderstorms on Aruba. Night time storms not interfering with my beach time

It will improve I am sure. Did you get your delivery from Price Smart?

I just checked the Amsterdam Manor Beach webcam and it looks like its stilling but not too bad, I saw a guy jogging by the waters edge and a person sitting at the beach bar, waves are a bit rough.

Yes Andrea I did get my delivery and on time. I would definitely use them again for a delivery service.
So yes a thunderstorm at night is OK but this was Not a beach day for sure. It was pouring and crazy thunder and lightning so we
went shopping. One of the ladies at Kooyman said the weather was bad at all 3 ABC islands and she even said it was worse than they
usually get. She also looked it up on a radar site and said I should just keep shopping hahaha.
I really hope things turn around. I have a friend coming tomorrow to use her timeshare at Marriott and we are looking forward to full beach days

Radar has not been encouraging. Has been humid and rainy for a few days. It has been quite a few years since we have had days and days of this kind of weather....could be worse as we all know.

Yes Ann could be better and certainly could be worse . Lots of rain for sure but the Thunder yesterday was sooo loud and I usually watch
storms in NH or FL but that booming was WoW !! I am in Malmok so maybe it has been worse here. Hoping for some nice beach weather but
must say we have lots to do here getting things set up. Happy to be here for sure

Interesting, I wonder if it only happened on part of the island? My buddy who is visiting said he had rain in the AM but the sun was out by 930 with clear skies at Baby Beach.
Trip 38 booked for Feb! Cant wait.

I am near the airport and a steady rain started last around 10:30PM give or take. Just before 11 we had the loudest boom of thunder I believe I have ever heard and the power went out...we both thought the house had been hit....nope a transformer and Elmar was right on it. Power restored in 90 minutes! Rain again this morning but some blue sky now! Have not checked the radar...which has been pretty accurate.

And yes it still interests me that rain does not cover the entire island at times. Once I was caught in an absolute deluge around the Eagle beach area....when I reached home it was bone dry...no evidence of any rain at all!
