Whatcha Reading or Music listening on the beach in Aruba?

There are a number forum members heading to Aruba in the coming weeks/months.

    What will you be reading?

One of the things that Paul and I do to prepare is to get our "reading all lined up"

He has 3 new Stuart Woods' audiobooks and I have 1 Stuart Woods and 2 Mary Higgins Clark audiobooks.

Also too, it is hard dragging me away from Pinterest online.
I have been mesmerized by all of the card making tutorials on Pinterest.

I hope that while on the beach I will be listening to one of my audiobooks and enjoying the scenery and not have my nose buried in Pinterest.

What will you be reading or listening to?

I don’t find myself reading while in Aruba. That said, I recently finished Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens and really enjoyed it.

I love reading on my Kindle when relaxing at the pool or beach. When we came I home I traded it in for a new one(it was over 7 years old, and starting to act funky) for a waterproof model. I read mostly realistic fiction, historical fiction, crime fiction, some romance, some suspense, some historical personal stories/experiences(not bios) and some non-fiction depending on the topic. I don't read sci-fi, horror, witchcraft, etc. Recent authors besides John, Ava Miles, John Grisham, JS Scott, Nora Roberts and many others which only wrote one or two books. I have about 250 archived books on my Kindle and I don't know how many "returned" books on it. I have been making a real effort this past year to "borrow" books on the Kindle and then return them. I use my prime account and try to get as many free books as I am interested in reading, but also pay for books.

I kinda miss the good old days of pirating music and audiobooks.
My son, when in jr and sr high school taught me how to go to the library, "borrow" audio CD book, go home and copy it and return the original.
Ahhh I miss the life of crime.
I do not miss the hassle of the "walkman and cds" in tow.

Amazon and I tunes have put me out of business.

Robin............when you borrow a kindle book from Amazon, how long do they give you to borrow?

Schexc........I have added music to this thread!

My music playlists include Beach Boys, Led Zeppelin, Abba, Andrea Bocelli/Sarah Brightman, Pentatonix, Aerosmith, lots of 60s stuff too.
I like it all....except country and rap, hip hop.

There are different types of lending or borrowing. Some books are free with Amazon Prime and others are from the Lending Library. I am not always sure which is which because I just don't pay attention. I can have 10 downloaded at a time, then I have to return some to download new ones. Some you can only borrow for a month, and then they return themselves, but you always download them again. The selection of books is better with KindleUnlimited, but I don't want to pay for both Prime and Unlimited.

I was starting to think I was "special" and the only one who does not read. With a 9 year old I listen to music and relax when its quiet....I don't read when in Aruba. The only other thing I do on the beach is create new "set plays" for the soccer team I coach in the summer. We run new plays early and I draw them up over the summer while relaxing on the beach- yes I know it does not sound exciting but wow do I enjoy doing it, lol.
