Druif - My fave because it's right across the street from my room I no longer care what I look like as try to roly-poly my way out of the water so I don't mind the waves or drop-off.
Arashi and Baby - used to love before they were built up. I do try to get to Baby at least once per trip though.
Boca Catalina - Used to love snorkeling there back when I could see without cheaters. I did invest in some stick-on magnifier lenses for my snorkel mask so maybe I'll get back there again.
Mangel Halto - I like it and will go with a friend if invited, but won't make the trip by myself for this beach.
Tres Trapi - Enjoyed it when I was younger and more agile
Eagle and Palm - never used them for beach or swimming in all my years going... I'm sure I've seen them on a walk or from a barstool hahaha

Palm is great people watching and we enjoy being so close to the water when on the beach.
Eagle and Manchebo areas are simply stunning.
Arashi - the steep drop off makes this area less enjoyable in my opinion.
Baby - worth the drive every once in a while but not every trip.
The best trip is the next trip. Anxiously waiting to book something.

We stay on Palm Beach because of the abundant restaurants/casinos/nightlife within walking distance. We're good with the beach but we tend to visit late spring or late fall when many children are in school. We usually rent a car to visit other beaches we really love several times during a week's stay. We enjoy Eagle and Arashi. Never really been to Druiff but have kinda lumped that in with Eagle. Liked Arashi prior to improvements but still go and that might just be my nostalgia, LOL! We've been to Baby a few times and will most likely go again on our next trip because we will have Aruba newbies with us. We've never done a beach day at Surfside either but we did have a strange visit--we booked a private catamaran sunset sail from one of the vendors in front of the Marriott complex and got stuck on a sandbar right at Surfside! A couple of guys on a jet skis, towed us out. Then "Captain Sandbar" motored on the wrong side of the buoy in front of the port authority and got stuck again! The PA wasn't happy but thankfully the tide was coming in and we were back on our way to Palm Beach in 10-15 minutes. Our sunset sail lasted way into the night, LOL! We laughed then and still do!

Eagle Beach - definitely our favorite. Not as crowded, can jet ski if you want to but it doesn't interfere with peace on the beach, walkable and a fabulous food trailer that is parked there offering amazing dishes for lunch...they often sell out. My husband is a triathlete so it's a safe place for him to swim laps and I'm less nervous about it.
Baby Beach - TURTLES! Have seen them on every trip so far. Water is calm and some decent snorkeling too. Definitely cautious though...and even more so now after reading the under tow story above. Yikes! Kamini Kitchen is on the way. Downside is the drive for sure from Eagle Beach but it's a nice get away and something different. Hard to get a palapa or cabana if you don't get there early enough. Have had to tuck in under the trees which typically means sharing with others for sure.
This is a fun post and making me day dream for our return in January. I pray this surge is over by then and Aruba is still able to welcome back U.S. residents!

While we own at the Ocean Club, I really prefer Eagle Beach. At the Ocean Club beach there always seems to be a lot of kelp on the on the ocean floor and most of the time there is a shelf at the water's edge, making it difficult to get out if you're a heavy older lady. That said, I still like the Ocean Club. It's not too far to get there from your room, no road to cross, and not too many kids. Eagle Beach, on the other had has nice soft sand and I love the big waves. Eagle Beach never seems to be too crowded. Just mho.

We always stay on Palm Beach where we own TS. Ordinarily we are the kind of people who like our space and being away from everyone, but our beach is probably the most crowded...Playa Linda. The draw is the people we sit near every year that we have become friends with. Always someone to watch your things if you go to your room for lunch or are in the water, etc. Yes, even there it is sometimes a show to see us try to get out of the water depending on the drop off! But we always rent a car and go to Arashi, Baby, Manglo Halto, and Rodgers. We go early to get either a palapa or shade from the trees, and leave before it gets too crowded. Agree, nice to stop at Rum Reef on the way back. or maybe Zeerovers. There is also a small place right on the main road in Savaneta that we will stop at for fresh made to order empanadas. We always see locals stop there as well. Yum!

Ok, Druif may not be my favorite beach this year. My friend staying at Divi Village took this pic this morning from near the Beach Bar. Your thoughts ...Eagle, Palm , Druif, Arashi, Surfside and Baby Beaches-5fe71052-a91b-4974-b92e-a2fa47866d1f-jpg

Wow, that’s quite a shift! We have seen Druif like this in the past. When we went back a few months later, it was a nice wide beach. This area seems to experience a lot of shifting.
