I agree above, if you have the money Manchebo is a great choice ( not cheap). We would love to be able to afford there, but its more than double ABC. But if your stuck, Aruba Beach Club is right next door to Manchebo. We picked up 4 days extra days for this February and have always been able to rent form their rental office each year we went extra days. They have a Fun bar with a good happy hour. Robertos restaurant and Casa Del Mar is attached to it. Matthews is a good bar too. Drink and you can fall into bed.

I just checked a random 4 days on Manchebos website in May and we could get 4 nights Garden view $1339, Deluxe Ocean view for $1580. So you can do 4 nights. The have a garden view for a little less. But they due charge more for ocean front. And more for a suite. Such a great beach.

Wow, thanks for all of the suggestions. Obviously Manchebo would be a great choice, but it's a bit above our budget. ABC sounds interesting, and it's the same beach, right? crimms, you rent from the rental office not an owner, how far in advance would I need to contact them for middle May rsvps? Anything I would need to know in advance of contacting them? You also mention Casa Del Mar, anyone have any experience there or thoughts on the property? Getting excited thinking about a few nights in the low rise.
Re: ABC and CDM
mother nature wreaks havoc periodically on the beach there. often the beach is a narrow and rocky strip. We have stayed at both. abc and cdm are nice but the beach situation is difficult at times.
if if you are aware of the beach then there r no surprises
have you checked into costa linda or paradise beach villas?QUOTE=WaltVB;341955]Wow, thanks for all of the suggestions. Obviously Manchebo would be a great choice, but it's a bit above our budget. Andrea, is right about the beach there. Mostly CDM. I have to say ABC has a much wider beach than Casa Del Mar and has more rows of Papalas. The right side of ABC actually touches Manchebo beach. They share beaches but ABC gets first come, first serve privileges an hour earlier CDM. Even a studio there has a full kitchenette. We buy the full week from an owner from Candy's list, but have to buy extras days directly from ABC rental dept. Its an older crowd but the bars and restaurants are younger and pizza BOB's is across the street. Plenty of parking too. We still love Manchebo more and were thinking about a GO FUND ME PAGE on this forum for an upgrade for us. Only joking!!!! We do love that you walk right out to the ocean without crossing a street. The grounds are tropical since it is the oldest time share on the island. Pega Pega right next door too. We were already able to book Saturday thru Tuesday_ extra days and will most likely have to change rooms as this is a separate transaction. So you would have to keep on checking. We are rarely in our room, mostly on the beach so a large, modern room is not needed for us. We are beach, fish and swim people.
Good Luck,

I thought i was the only one who would admit it always smells....there has been one or two days I have not noticed the smell- some days worse than others but its almost ALWAYS there IMO and would prevent me from ever staying at AM. The smell disappears before LaCabanna...and it would also prevent me from staying at Blue- I start smelling it there as well.
I cannot agree more with kemperato. Paul and I love lacabana
