Hi Peg!
Well, I decided on Oceania! And, we are going to be down there at the same time! I am leaving Thanksgiving day (the airports won't be as crazy) and returning Friday the fourth. So, we'll have to plan that drink. I am surprised by how places are sold out already and we're months away! (That's why I'm secured my reservation now.) Which reminds me to get another reservation at Carte Blanche and Italy in the World. I have another friend coming along for part of my trip this time (not a partier), who is a real foodie and would appreciate Carte Blanche.
I am grateful for everyone's help and advice in sorting this out. I feel very happy about my choice
Thank you!
Great choice! We hear lots of good things about Oceania on this forum. Carte Blanche is wonderful and yes, get a reservation as they fill up fast.
It is funny, as I too, have heard it call the “rainy season”. We’ve gone to Aruba in November more than 10 times. I recall one day in which we had torrential rain. It happened when we were headed to the airport to go home. Other than that, we might experience a quick downpour during the day. So, we would just go to the beach bar and let it clear up. For the most part the rain would come during the night. We would know when we saw puddles in the morning. We’ve never had a day that was a wash out whether in November or May.
We went to Aruba only once in the fall...2 weeks starting in mid Oct. It rained the better part of the first week and the second week was beautiful. This was in 2018. We usually go in March.
