Immerse yourself in discovering genuine and locally made arts and crafts at local design store Cosecha.

Cosecha, translated harvesting, reflects the diversification of the Aruban craft heritage and the artistic supply of artisans, with personal inspirations and craftsmanship exposed in their products.

Cosecha is a haven for locally made arts and crafts that provides locals and visitors with a pure representation of the Aruban heritage. Cosecha showcases arts and crafts with the SEYO certification, the national seal of craftsmanship.

At the Cosecha store in San Nicolas there is also a creative center, facilitating workshops for the public, and a small restaurant. Within the Cosecha you will find distinguished artisans, who play a crucial role in upholding Aruba’s arts and craft industry. The current collection showcases the variety hereof.

The Cosecha Oranjestad design store is open Monday from 1PM to 6PM; Tuesday - Saturday from 9AM to 6PM.

Cosecha San Nicolas is open Monday from 1pm-5pm; Tuesday - Saturday from 10AM - 5PM.

Considering the growing demand of the tourist for genuine and authentic local products, the government of Aruba saw a certification seal as an opportunity to fortify the position of the artisans as well, who have been lobbying for recognition for years.

The DCA, started issuing the Seyo for artisans in 2012, represented by an appointed commission of experts who give out the certification based on the UNESCO criteria for artisan craftsmanship which are: craftsmanship, originality, esthetics, material use, local identity and commercial value. The Seyo is considered a tool to boost Aruba's creative industry, prompting local artisans to develop more and better locally handmade products.
